Frequently Asked Questions
HOW DO WE RECEIVE OUR GALLERIES?
I deliver all of my final wedding galleries on USB drives and provide the post-wedding sneak peeks through a link on Pixieset.
DO YOU DELIVER RAW IMAGES?
I do not deliver RAW images, as they are unfinished work.
WHAT IS YOUR TURN AROUND TIME?
One of my priorities is always giving my couples their final engagement and wedding galleries as soon as possible. Your final engagement gallery will be in your inbox within 2-4 weeks. Your final wedding gallery will be sent out to you within 6-8 weeks.
HOW SECURE DO YOU KEEP OUR IMAGES BEFORE WE RECEIVE THEM?
After I get home from your big day, I always download the RAW files from my SD cards to two different external hard drives.
WHAT DO YOU BRING TO OUR WEDDING DAY?
I always bring my favorite professional grade camera, my Canon EOS 5D Mark IV. And I always bring my Canon EOS 80D as a backup camera. I also bring three different lenses, my Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8, Canon 85mm f/1.8, and my Canon 50mm f/1.8. For low light, I bring my external flash to make sure every photo is perfectly lit. I also bring a fanny pack (always showin' up in style). In my fanny pack I carry, extra camera batteries, extra SD cards, a lipstick palette with a variety of colors, bobby pins, dress tape, a lighter, a bottle opener, a first aid kit, and an emergency sewing kit. You never know what may happen unknowingly and so I like to be as prepared as possible to help your day run smoothly.
HOW MUCH IS A DOWN PAYMENT? AND WHEN IS THE FINAL PAYMENT DUE?
At the signing of the contract, I require a $500 down payment to secure your wedding day spot.
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD WE BOOK WITH YOU?
I always recommend to secure your spot as soon as possible because I book on a first come first serve basis.
WHAT IS A SECOND SHOOTER? AND SHOULD WE HAVE ONE?
A second shooter is a second photographer that assists me in capturing ever second of your big day since I can't be in two places at once. I do recommend second shooters for any weddings above 75 guests. It just depends on how you envision your big day. If you want extra angles and one more helper for the day, then a second shooter is a good idea.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS TO A FIRST LOOK?
There are many benefits to a first look. If you want an intimate moment to be able to talk with your soon-to-be-spouse before your ceremony to ease the nerves, then a first look would help you feel less anxious. And keep in mind, first looks can be done with an intimate group of family or just you two and my camera and I. Another benefit to having a first look is being able to get all of your bridal party and family photos completed before your ceremony. This would allow you two to be able to go straight to partyin'!
DO YOU TRAVEL?
I do travel for weddings, but any weddings further than 50 miles from Tri-Cities Washington is required to pay travel fees. My travel fees for driving are $17 an hour + $0.54 per mile driven from the location I'm at. If the drive is over 2 hours away, a one night stay in a hotel is required. For destination weddings or other weddings I'd be required to fly to, my travel fees include a round-trip flight and two nights in a hotel.
CAN I CUSTOMIZE ONE OF THE WEDDING COLLECTIONS?
If you don't see a wedding collection that matches exactly what you need for your wedding, contact me and let's chat. All wedding collections can be customized to your wedding day dreams.
